hailley - Because you need to conduct the file search from the MS-DOS prompt and no, you are not running in DOS--you are running in Windows. JAWS continues to speak when at the Command (also known as the MS-DOS) prompt. To exit the Command Prompt, just type the word "exit" (without the quotes) at the prompt.
