I have a friend who will be working with a web based application in which
the data he need to access will be highlighted in both a full row and a
single cell in a column separately. The color coding will be in a format
which colors will be used in the order of importance in which things need to
be given attention to.

For example a row with the background color red will be a number one
priority, orange will be number two and green in a cell will be a change
from it previously being red or orange.

His question is how he can get JAWS to read colors in rows and in a single
column cell . He wants to be able to save these settings so upon his next
trip to the web site the settings are in place and he does not have to keep
adjusting the settings each time he return to the web site to work with the
data base.

I have been trying to understand the JAWS Configuration Manager to see if
making changes in there will help, but I could use some input from the
experts on this list. I am also wondering about using the JAWS Skim Reading
feature and setting up rules to find the various background and foreground
colors. Does anyone know if this can be done?

Thanks in advance!

Annette
