oh I thought you had spellcheck already on your computer through Word well 
no wonder it didn't work..grins

as far as the check/uncheck..jaws should say if it is or isn't, but you 
could try pressing the insert key and 8 or route jaws to pc  and read it 
that way, or press the spacebar jaws should say checked or unchecked then do 
the insert 8 to make sure you have it the way you want before you tab to an 
apply button..

Sorry for all the confusion earlier I thought you already had spellcheck and 
downloaded something else..
