In order for JAWS not to say an email has an attachment when there is no
file attached, you will need to uncheck the AVG Free incoming and out going
Certify mail checkboxes. To turn off this annoying AVG Free option, perform
the following steps: Note/This does not turn off the virus protection in any
way.

1. Open AVG, tab once to the control center button and tap space bar.

2. Use alt plus V to open the view menu and down arrow to the components
submenu icon and then tap enter.

3. Down arrow to the email scanner icon and then tap enter.

4. Tab to the configure button and then tap enter.

5. Tab to and uncheck the two Certify mail checkboxes.

6. Now tab to the OK button and enter and then tab to the OK button again
and enter. This should have eliminated the problem and you now can close AVG
Free with alt plus F4.

HTH,

Andrew

I recently installed AVG. antivirus software after having some problems with
Norton which won't completely uninstall. Now whenever I send a message jaws
says that my messages have attachments, even though there isn't any. Is
there a way to configure something in AVG. to stop JAWS from doing that?
