Hi everyone,
I am about to start some new work as part of my studies. I am trying to make
sure that I can access the course material with JAWS okay. I have been given a
sample document to try. The document is in MS word format. When I open it up, I
can read only a small bit of it. I was told that I need to turn macros on. From
what I understand, macros are something like commands or scripts, but I am not
sure of this. I do remember several years ago, having a problem with JAWS which
was caused by a macro. I am therefore very cautious about them. Am I being to
cautious, or should I have concerns about turning them on? If they are fine to
turn on, then how do I do that? I am using windows xp, JAWS 7.0 and word 2003.
Any help or opinions would be great. One more quick question. I have a software
CD, which will not run automatically. I haven't had any problem with any other
disks. I was told a while ago, how to make it run manually, but have forgotten.
Does anyone know how to do that. I did a google search, but had no luck.
Thanks a lot Jason
