Greetings all, I have JAWS installed on a laptop computer. Recently have been having a problem where JAWS does not announce names of dialogue boxes or headings in open programs. For example if I have multiple documents open, it will not announce the name of the files that are open, or another example is if I try to open a new document it will not communicate the headings e.g. "look in" "file name" etc.
I have tried refreshing the screen, and making sure I am in the right task bar etc. The only thing that works is to shut off jaws and restart JAWS. After doing this it will work for the first time I open a new document but then retreats to the same things of not speaking the headings etc. Can anyone give me suggestions how to rectify this problem outside of turning JAWS on and off. I am running JAWS 7.0 I believe.
