Sounds good. As long as you can understand what JAWS is saying, you are in
business. In a week or two increase it again.

Hey Annette,
I just went to my Jaws voices and my rate was set on 15%, so I moved it up
to 18%. Did I do that right?

  Hi Patti,

If you want to improve your skills in understanding JAWS at a faster rate,
here is what I tell my students. Increase your JAWS rate by 3-5 points. So
if you are currently at 20, then move it up to 23. Leave it there for a
week or two, or until you are comfortable with it. At that point, increase
the rate again by 3-5 points. Keep doing this until you reach your maximum
comprehension speed. For each person this is different.

I am not referring to the percentage rate of JAWS, but rather the value
you
get when you are setting the rate.

You need to also keep in mind that you might want to read different types
of
material at different rates. So there is nothing wrong with changing the
rate to meet your current needs.

I hope you find this information helpful.

  Annette

  Hey David,
I just listen to the audio on making rules for folders.
I really like the sounds your computer makes when you press the space bar
and when a check box is checked or not. How can I get my computer to do
  that.
I must be the only one that has my Jaws not talking so fast, because I
couldn't keep up with yours. smiles Thanks Patti Laughter is an instant
  vacation.
