Unless some good samaritan with expertise (and I mean _real_ expertise) in
scripting brings out new, privately-written IE scripts for JAWS 7.X, you're
out of luck unless you upgrade to JAWS 8.0 when it's released. FS has
publicly said that IE 7 will be fully supported in JAWS 8.0, but they have
no control over what any other software vendor; including Microsoft; does
and I seriously doubt that they'll do anything to update older JAWS versions
to work properly with IE 7. Moreover, they shouldn't--this really is the
whole reason for the JAWS SMA--you are always kept current in your JAWS
version with what's going on with regard to technological change with regard
to computers.

Subject: [jaws-users] JAWS and Internet Explorer 7 Final Release

Hello all,

                              Microsoft has finally released Internet
Explorer 7 (no more beta or RC versions). I've downloaded and installed it,
and find to work well with JAWS 7.0.135u. There are a few minor issues I've
experienced, however. Combo boxes don't seem to work properly, and I Highly
recommend turning off both Clear Type and tabbed browsing to make it easier
to use with JAWS. I'm wondering if anyone has heard of some scripts that
might fix some of the odd quirks of IE 7 with JAWS. A script might help the
combo boxes issues. Thanks.
