Yes you certainly can change the name of a shortcut in your favorites in internet explorer. I'll even be a nice guy and write out the instructions for you. 1 Open up your favorites menu in I.e.. 2 Arrow to the shortcut in question and hit the applications key. 3 Arrow until you hear rename and hit enter. I figure the rest is self explanatory.
