That's not the normal practice.

  This is by design. Anything that significantly alters the "fingerprint" of
  your computer will cause this to happen because JAWS has no way to know
  whether you've simply installed a single new drive or if you're trying to
  install it on a second computer that's identical to the first one except 
for
  that one drive.

  You can _always_ request that your authorization count be reset to the
  normal 3 by sending a note to:

  [EMAIL PROTECTED]

  This is a routine request and costs you nothing. Just don't use up all 
three
  authorizations every week and request resets as frequently or somebody's
  quite likely (and not without reason) to get suspicious.

  The same thing just happened when I changed my sound card here a couple of
  weeks ago. Right now I'm using a dongle but I will reactivate jaws 
shortly.
