Creating an E-Mail Group in Outlook Express:

If you regularly send the same message to several people, you may simplify
this task by creating a group. To create a group, perform the following
steps.

A. Open Outlook Express, then tap Alt plus T to open the Tools Menu.

B. Down Arrow to Address Book and then tap Enter or, use the Outlook Express
hot key, Control plus shift plus B.

C. Tap Alt plus F to open the Address Book file menu.

D. Down arrow to New Group and then tap Enter or, use the Outlook Express
hot key, control plus G.

E. You now should be in the group name edit field. Type in the group name.

F. Then Tab once to the Select members Button and tap enter.

G. Tab three times to the address book list view.

H. Use up or down arrow or tap the first letter of the contacts name to
select the desired contact.

I. Tap tab 3 times to move to the select button and then tap enter.

J. Repeat steps I and J until you have selected all the names you would like
to add to the group.

K. After you have added all of the desired contacts, Tab to the Ok button
and then tap Enter.

L. Tab to the Ok Button again and tap Enter, then tap escape to close the
Address Book.

M. The next time you want to send a message to this group of people, simply
select the group instead of a person. Note- it is highly recommended to use
the BCC field when sending a message to a large group of addresses, this way
none of the recipients can see the addresses of other people receiving it.

Adding a contact to an existing group:

A. From the inbox use control plus shift plus B to open the address book.

B. Select the group name you wish to add a contact to.

C. Tap the Applications key.

D. Up Arrow to Properties and then tap Enter.

E. Tab to the new contact button and then press enter.

F. Type in the contacts first name.

G. Tab twice to the last name edit field and type in the contacts last name.

H. Tab four times to the E/mail edit field and type in the contacts E/mail
address.

I. Tab once to the add button and then press enter.

J. Tab to the OK button and then pres enter.

K. Tab to the OK button again and then pres enter.

L. Press the escape key to close the address book.

Deleting a contact from an existing group:

A. From the In Box use control plus shift plus B to open the address book.

Tab once to the address book list view.

B. Select the group name that contains the contact you wish to remove.

C. Tap the Applications key.

D. Arrow to Properties and then tap Enter.

E. Tab to the list of contacts in the group and select the desired name you
would like to remove and then tap delete.

Subject: [jaws-users] creating distribution lists

I was just reviewing the tips and tricks page and it occurs to me that
although there are instructions for posting to multiple contacts in your
address book they stop short of explaining how to put such a list of people
in to a single contact group. I could work on this myself of course but if
somebody out there already might happen to have these instructions ready to
go then I wouldn't need to reinvent the wheel so to speak.
