Just so everybody is clear on this. Not all desktop items are shortcuts.
Some things are programs downloaded from the internet or other such files
that may land there through the course of daily operations. So just because
something is on there doesn't mean it isn't doing something of an important
nature to your daily life. Now having said this the procedure for deleting
an item is quite easy. Focus on it and hit your delete key keeping in mind
you're quite sure it is a shortcut icon and nothing else. If it is
something else then of course try and make sure you know what it is first.
There is no way at all we're going to prevent duplicate posts on a mailing
list such as this so don't anybody worry about that to the extent of panic
at all. Besides if you see an answer but you can add a twist to it then of
course by all means go right ahead and do so. If you see an answer that is
virtually the same as what you were thinking of posting then save yourself
the effort. I must say that it pleases me to see this thing ran quite
smoothly in my absence. Not completely but pretty close never the less. We
lost a valuable member this morning and I'm hoping that it doesn't turn in
to a trend. We have a lot of good contributors but can't afford to lose
very many of them. Any how I'm around again but I approve of the job Bob
and Rick did over the weekend, thanks a lot guys.
