Open outlook and press alt V to get to the view menu. Arrow to the arrange by
submenu. From this menu, arrow to custom and press inter.

Now you are in a series of buttons. You can switch from one to another by
pressing your tab key. You should have landed on the fields button, but if you
didn’t, tab to it and press the space bar.

The first option you should land on is maximum number of lines in multi line
mode. Mine is set to two. Now tab once and your nest option is selecting a
field from a category, such as frequently used fields. Press down arrow until
it says date/time fields. Tab once to the field choices in this category, and
then down arrow to the sent field. Tab twice, or until it says add, and press
the spacebar.

Now we have the sent field added. Tab until it says, show fields in the
following order. You can arrow up and down to see the fields, and if you tab
once, you will see a move up button. Tab again to see the move down button.
You can also use the shortcut keys, alt d to move down, and alt U to move up.
Now that you have your fields in your preferred order, tab to ok and hit inter.
Now tab to sort, and hit space. With your down arrow, find sent. Now tab to
the ascending/descending option, and with your arrows, choose the one you want,
if it isn’t already selected. Tab again, and it will say, and then by. Here’s
where you can specify a secondary ordering criteria, but remember, sent will
take priority. For now, let’s just leave this alone. Tab to ok and hit inter.
Now tab until you hear, Format Columns... Specify the display formats for each
field. Press the spacebar. Now you are in a list of fields. This is where we
can widen each field to make sure that we see the complete subject line or sent
time/date. Select the field you want to modify by pressing the down arrow.
Let’s look at the subject line. Arrow to it and press tab. It should say,
format edit combo, text. Now tab again, past label, and to a group of radio
buttons that say either best fit, or specific width. Specific is what we want,
so use your arrow to select it, if it isn’t already selected. Tab once, and
now you can adjust how many characters should appear in the subject field. If
you don’t like the number that is displayed, delete it and type in a new
number. 40 to 45 characters should be plenty. Now tab, and you’ll land on a
group of radio buttons for where the text should appear in the allotted field
space. Left should be selected, and that’s just fine, so tab again. Here’s
the ok button, but we still have changes to make, so keep tabbing until it
says, available fields again. With your arrows, find sent. Press tab it will
say, format, and then probably best fit. Use your arrow keys to select how you
want the time to be displayed. Personally, I like the, “Format: Sat 11/11/2006
3:04AM.” Now that you have your format selected. tab twice, and with the
arrows, select best fit or specific width. If you select specific width, when
you tab again, you can then inter the number representing the character count
for the sent field. I think that maybe choosing best fit might be easier here.
Now tab to the buttons that tell outlook where to put the text. Left is
probably selected, and this is fine. Now tab to ok and hit inter. Whew!
We’re done! I sincerely hope that this isn’t too confusing. I’m here to help,
so if you have tried this, and you are stuck, email me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] and
I’ll do my darndest to help.
