the way to do it is to do the following: 1: press enter on the my computer iccon on the desktop 2: down arrow to the b: drive 3: press alt+f for the files pull down menu 4: down arrow to format and press enter 5: tab to the start button if not already there and press enter.
the formatting function will probably let you know that all data on the disk will be lost if you continue. just follow the prompts.
