First, thankyou very much for having something that builds right after
checking out!!!!! I spent one week so far trying to get axis2 built.
They use maven and sometimes with maven, developers can break the
build(and not know it) for someone just coming in as everything for the
developers on the project is cached.(One reason I hate maven)
I could not find a way to download the website, or just the manual(both
would be nice). I tried building it, but it required external tools. I
downloaded the latest forrest, and docbook-xsl. Neither worked. I then
checked out 0.5 of forrest as the build was saying, and that did not
work. It would be extremely nice if instead of installing forrest and
docbook-xsl on your machine, you installed it in the jaxme repository so
when users check out code, it builds for them and all they need
installed is jdk and ant(I typically go one step further and install ant
too). I would do the jdk also if it wasn't so big. In that way you can
guarantee a build will work with a user not having to really setup anything.
thanks,
dean
