well, that stinks. I wish they had exception chaining much earlier. I
looked up the fix for xml and stuff and it was using initCause to get
around it. The old stuff just doesn't play nicely with the new stuff so
when I log the exception using java.util.logging, it does not log the
whole exception chain making this a hard problem to debug. it does look
like there is some custom exceptoin chaining I will have to look at :)
