Dear All, Here we are facing a strange error while doing an automatic ftp to different server.
We have defined the the machine login details in the .netrc file of the user home directory. We were able to do a manual ftp from shell prompt. When we tried with "ftp -n <<serveripaddress>>" it was connecting fine without asking for the password. But without '-n' ftp option the system is asking for the manual entering of password ie(ftp <<serverip>>). The above metioned command "ftp <<server ip>>'' was working fine with aix version 5.2.0.0. But in the aix version 5.3.0.0 the command "ftp <<server ip>>'' is asking for the manual entry of password. When we tried with ''ftp -n <<server ip>>'' it goes fine. I need to know whether in 5.3.0.0 it was made to work like this or some other settings has to be done ?
