     To add a little more on the FHLD

F - I believe stands for 'Fast Input' - When a record is created via a
direct WRITE from a bulk process, in order to differentiate such records
from other HLD records (which are placed on hold by user input), this
function was used...


For ex, if you created a FUNDS.TRANSFER record using EB.FUNDS.TRANSFER it
will update the FT record with FHLD status.

But i think these are not used anymore - probably maintained for backward
compatibility...

You have equivalent straight forward options in OFS and other bulk
processing modules like GAI.
