It looks rather like something has been corrupted in your installation (either
deleted or mis-configured). If you have never used this before then it could
be a bug I suppose but if not, try to pin down when this started happening.
Does it happen in all login 'accounts'? If you clear all the item locks
(obviously be careful doing that), does it go away? If you reboot? Is the
database server the same machine as the application server? There is a lot of
information you have not provided here I am afraid.

However, IIRC then this message means that you tried to do a CLEAR-FILE via a Q
pointer and either the Q pointer is not pointing to a valid file or clearing
via Q pointers is not allowed. Did you upgrade and not upgrade the accounts
VOC/MD?

So, please read the posting guidelines and include a jdiag output with your
post. Especially now that TEMENOS have started calling jBASE for T24 TAFC as
the release numbers are going to be confusing for a while here I think.

Subject: SHOW-ITEM-LOCKS got error message

Dear all,

We are using TAFC(jbase R9 version) and SQL Server 2003, when using
SHOW-ITEM-LOCKS or SHOW-RECORD-LOCKS, system report error message as below:

jsh ~ -->SHOW-ITEM-LOCKS
 ** Warning [ CLEAR_QFAIL ] **
File is an invalid Q pointer file to clear
Trap from an error message, error message name = CLEAR_QFAIL
Line 198 , Source jutil.filelock.b

Any ideas to solve above issue?
  Thanks.
