Hi, the difference is that for Nofile enquiry there is not a real file behind. There are like virtual definitions in Standard Selection for fields. But the whole selection process and data handling must be managed through the programs you need to develop. See the example enquiry STMT.ENT.BOOK for the reference purposes. There you have everything.
