You need to log on as Administrator, not just as a member of the group.

"The problem is with the way jBASE creates shared memory. As you've
discovered, it works as Administrator, but not if you are just a member of
the Administrators group. It also works if jDLS is running, or if you
already have an active telnet session; under these conditions the shared
memory is already created, so starting up additional jShells on the console
is not a problem.

This problem is currently with development and they are aware that it needs
to be fixed."

Subject: RE: Error 2 Starting command

I seriously doubt that TEMENOS have done anything at all to support Windows
7. I don't think they even support VS2008 yet, so you will have to wait a
while ;-)

The security interfaces with Vista and even more so with Windows 7 have
changed and I doubt that you could easily get this to work. However, the
first thing to do is turn off UAC, which might be your issue. If that does
not work then I think you probably are not going to get this to work.

Also, please read the posting guidelines - what version of jBASE? What
compilers have you loaded? Etc. ad nauseum
