Dear Team,

I am running TCServer 1.5.2_18 on T24 R6 Jbase 4.1 windows 2003R2 with
JDK1.6.0_16

I am suddenly getting JVM_bind errors on a number of ports defined in
tcserver.xml file. Please see snippet of error below:
*
java.net.BindException: Address already in use: JVM_Bind
Cause: java.rmi.server.ExportException: Port already in use: 9990; nested
exception is:
java.net.BindException: Address already in use: JVM_Bind
*
I also observed that the monitor port for the TCserver on the console showed
"9600" instead of the default "9500" in the tcserver.xml file, meanwhile the
console messages indicate the correct path to the xml file*

*"netstat -a" shows java.exe listening on the port, however "telnet
localhost 9990" gives the could not open connection to the host error"
instead of the usual blank screen when there is a successful connection.

Because of the conditions above running my atminterface.jar application
simply does not connect to the sink port (9990)

Pls Note:

1. After a system the port is available and i can work for an average of
2hours before the error recurs
2. Killing the java.exe process appears not to free the port
3. Stopping/Restarting/resetting TCserver does not free the port

Please what do i need to do to resolve these problem?

Would i need to reinstall JDK and TCserver

I have another lower spec server with a working TCserver/ATM interface
application. Is it possible to configure TCserver on a remote machine
connect to T24 on another machine?

Your responses will be most appreciated.

Warm Regards
Tunde
