 You need to read up on Transaction Journalling - this is a 
non-standard (ie costs more) option to jBASE which creates a journal 
file of all database updates which can be dequeued to a backup machine.

You don't say what version of jBASE or what the O/S is to be able to 
give any alternative advice.
