UNiVerse is pretty weak at such things, but jBASE supports the ACCOUNT-SAVE command that can save in legacy formats, though some things cannot be saved this way - I think larger items can cause problems in that format.
Another way is to copy the items to directories, then import them back, but the methods for naming items containing illegal characters for directory files differ. Why don't you do it the other way ;-) ?
