Hi Chloe, If you are on Linux / Unix, you can use 'top' command to see the cpu usage. But if the system hangs when you try to commit a transaction, you have to execute 'SHOW-ITEM-LOCKS' in the jbase prompt
The best way to trouble shoot this problem would be to use a telnet client and try to perform the same steps, I believe that the version that is being used to commit the transaction, is fatalling out due to some reason, which can be viewed if the same transaction is being performed through telnet client.
