Hi, have you installed any updates during the period in question? Even if you didn't the 11.04 isn't stable enough; better try some LTS version (I've recently removed 11.04 and returned to 10.04 LTS due to certain problems too long to describe). Or - even better (for jbase at least) - use CentOS 5.
Last but not least: is jRLA absolutely necessary? I believe you are able to use OS locking instead...
