Hi ALL:

I've gotten a little rusty with the correlative functions and need some
guidance on this one

I have one attribute for members first name (att 1) and another for spouse (att
11)

If the spouse contains anything I want a dummy attribute "bothnames" to contain
first name "and" spouse first name. In other words, "JACK AND MARY"

Here is the fly in the ointment. The spouse first name might be "*":spouse (
looks like "*MARY") indicating that he/she is deceased, in which case it should
be treated as none existent also and just return the first name of record
holder.

Any help always appreciated.
