CA?

On the topic of job ads, I posted the following info to the LinkedIn
group yesterday.
http://www.linkedin.com/groups/Pick-Users-Group-64935
jBase users and developers are welcome in the LinkedIn Pick User
Group.
===========================
Recruiters and employers are welcome to post ads for Pick/MV talent.
Those seeking a position are welcome to post availability as well.

Please provide as much information about your requirements as possible
to eliminate responses that do not meet unstated requirements. That
includes the DBMS being used, GUI and other technologies, vertical
market of the business, and location. Be specific if you require
onsite personnel or if remote is acceptable, and of course if you
require an employee or if contractors are welcome. We understand and
respect that you may not be able to disclose a company name or other
non-technical details.

Conversely, you should also avoid asking for superhuman abilities
which will preclude responses from mere mortals. If your requirements
are too extensive, consider breaking the position into two, or perhaps
you can look for one employee and one supplemental contractor to
provide other skills and mentoring as-needed.

If you are an end-user, you may wish to contract with a professional
to determine exactly what skills are really required to satisfy your
strategic goals, and then make sure that information is in your ads.
(While placement firms should provide this service, most cannot -
sorry folks.) Note that there are recruiters that specialize in
placement of MV professionals - ask your recruiter how much experience
they have in this area. MV-focused recruiters are welcome to announce
their services here.

If you are a recruiter and you are not familiar with this industry,
before posting ads I highly suggest you partner with a professional
from this group so that you can adequately represent your clients'
requirements.

To cast the widest possible net, other places for ads are listed here:
http://www.pickwiki.com/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?Employment
You will occasionally find people posting availability there as well.

I hope that helps companies to find the right talent and reaffirm
their confidence in this platform. I hope that also helps people to
find employment which better suits them.
