Hey bud - recruiters provide a valued service if they actually post
ads for this audience. IMO, the job doesn't even need to be
MV-specific as long as it's in a MV shop.

 

As you know, I co-manage the MVDBMS group and the LinkedIn Pick User's
Group. In both groups I screen recruiters who apply for membership,
asking them if they actually do provide services to this specific
industry. Some don't respond and their request is rejected. New
members are moderated for their first few posts so we can check those
who try to sneak in, and we'll rarely get a new member who goes
against group policy. When they do the member is removed and the
message doesn't make it into the public view anyway. A tiny bit of
moderator time is wasted and the group remains undisturbed. But we all
benefit if a good ad leads to a good job placement.
