Is there a list somewhere of all the registry entries and environmental variables and anything else that has to go somewhere? It would also require the service entires to be made for the license server, telnet and jrfs servers.

The installshield for 3.4 will not work on 64 bit machines, but jbase itself functions(albeit unsupported) just fine. You have to make all the registry entries and environment variable settings yourself, and as noted you either need to request a new license if you are on support, or use the same name for your new computer.

Hi, Dave:

3.x is limited to a 32 bit o/s like Win 7 32 bit. It will not run on 64 bit. You will need Jbase 5.x for that. If you are on support, I believe it is a free upgrade.

If you change computer name license will not work even if the same system.

Gentlemen:
I have a licensed 3 user 3.?? that has been upgraded to 3.1.10 over the years running on and XP-Pro 32 bit box, with computer name linux_box I would like to move it to a newer computer, running Windoze 7. I really don’t need or desire 8 at this point.
Questions: Will my version 3.x run on a 64 bit O.S. ?
Can I modify it to run on a computer with a different name ? (i.e. “HomeLaptop” instead of “Linux_Box”) I have a laptop now that is nowhere near capacity, and am considering just adding a normal keyboard and Monitor to it to use in my home office.
Any comments or suggestions are welcome as always.
Dave
