Remember, you can use 32 bit applications on a 64 bit OS but not the other way
around. You can go to the 64 bit version of your new OS.

Yes it runs fine on that platform, we have it installed that way on tons of
clients, and that’s what we use in-house.

Subject: jbase 3.x on windows 7

Gentlemen:

I am still using jbase 3.10 on xp-pro . Will this version of jbase run on
Windows 7 pro, (32 bit without any difficulties). I can probably stay with xp,
but perhaps I should move with the time.

I have a couple of concerns.

I currently have a lap-top with Windows 7 Home, but am pretty sure I need the
Pro version.

I don’t have another computer in the house that is new enough to run windows 7
pro, 64 bit, so would have to purchase something. I really don’t want to do this

I do have a DELL tower, with 2 gb memory, that I could probably increase that,
but I believe 3.5 gb is the max that a 32bit system can handle

So, I guess I’m asking, Can I run my jbase 3.x on windows 7 pro, 32bit on a
computer with 2gb physical memory or am I screwed and have to go buy something?
Or, do I stay where I am. Since I have only one small client now ( a church)
I don’t want to tackle updating to a newer version of jbase either.

Dave
