Try adding an alpha character to the ID.

I had an experience with Universe that was driving me nuts.

Turns out that Universe truncated a long numeric string or simply failed to
make a comparative logic test when the string was longer the 13 numbers. I
added an alph character and the problem was resolved.

Just makes me think that this may be a little deficiency in the environment.

Yes its writing to the same file.

Thanks,

What does 'jstat {filename}' display?

Check the file being written to for corruption, e.g.

jcheck {filename}

When you say "the same program is worked fine in another environment "is it
writing to the same file?

Could some one tell me is this a problem with the Linux environment or do we
have any setup at jbase level to control the length of id of the file.
Thanks in advance.
