Thanks for reply Simon. I just saw your post now, but did get my problem
solved by simply decataloging both programs, then modifying the second
program subroutine name, compiling and cataloging both again.

This is a library corruption. Normally caused by cataloguing a subroutine
where the program name on the subroutine definition is the same as another
subroutine...
Classic cause is to copy a program and not change the name in line 1...
If you can, the easiest way is to delete all the lib. Dll files and clear
the objdir directory that is contained in the folder holding the dlls. Then
recatalog all your subroutines.
Jbase do have a utility which will identify and remove the offending records
from the dll and it's definition tables. I got it from Jbase support
years ago.. You could ask them if recatalogging isn't an option..
I may be able to find a copy of the code if you can't get it elsewhere...
