Hmm, that does indeed work, my bad.  My example had the wrong case, and 
that may be why it didn't work for me.

I think how it interprets the brackets is it only treats them as wildcards 
if they are at the end ("BLAH]") or beginning ("[BLAH")

I didn't know about LIKE, thanks.  That allows me to search for filenames 
that end in ] or begin with [, which can't be specified w/o it.

COUNT . WITH *A0 LIKE "...]"
