I think the ratio can be a little worse with a larger number of strategies. Between the first MT patch and the second, Eugene increased the number of strategies per chunk for the brute force optimizer. My benchmark run 600 strategies. So with the first optimizer patch JBT used 2 chunks of strategies and only 1 chunks with the second patch.
