After making adjustments to the code I did some preliminary testing and it didn't look too good. When I ran the test on two Linux machines two data files were almost identical (3 different lines over 30 minute period). During WindowsXP vs Linux test discrepancies were much larger however. I think it was caused by the fact that I started the test right after booting into Windows so maybe clock wasn't synchronized yet. The other reason for discrepancies might be the fact that the scheduler fires every 1000 milliseconds and doesn't take actual time into account. Because of that every initial time difference between two clocks would be replicated over and over.
