Thanks for all the feedback. I am not using "server" VM, I may try that. I am using aggressiveHeap. I think I am just running with too many parameters for my own good. I may need to get a separate linux box for running optimizations, cheaper and less wear and tear on my brand new MacBook Retina. I'm not sure if Apple tested these running full-cpu for days!
