Hello Tamunoemi, The steps to connect to TWS from JBookTrader is described in the JBookTrader user guide: http://docs.google.com/View?id=dfzgvqp4_10gb63b8hg
With regards to TWS, this is an Interactive Traders trading platform. When you open an account with IB, you get two accounts: the real one, and the simulated account (also known as the "paper trading" account). JBookTrader would work with either one. An account with IB and TWS are only needed if you are planning live trading and/or collecting historical market data. For strategy development, strategy backtesting, and strategy optimization, JBookTrader will work on its own (i.e. no connectivity to any broker is required). E.
