Both threads are about how to avoid the opening of positions when there is 
insufficient margins. 

My post is actually one active way of handling it. The maximum open 
strategies is another way of handling it. 
(Moreover, your query was in this thread not in the other, but never mind.)

The underlying problem over and over again is that at this point there does 
not seem to be a way in JBT on how to identify how much non-margined 
capital is available. 
The right way would be to use this as the basis (perhaps with some 
additional criteria) for deciding whether to submit an order. The maximum 
open strategies - or the solution I posted - are just approximations that 
are questionable.
