Yes, IB imposes a a limit of 3 symbols for Level2 data, and since JBookTrader relies on that data, one can trade at most 3 different symbols at the same time. However, it does not prevent one from running multiple trading strategies (more than 3) associated with a single security. And yes, to go beyond 3 symbols, you'd need to pay for the IB booster packs.
