Well, from the quickie description I got from the JMX team at the show
you can define relationships between MBeans such as "don't start the EJB
container until the Naming is available". Which is GREAT. It's not in
the JMX 1.0 spec though.

Nope. It doesn't even come with a MBeanServer implementation (which is
included in jmxri.jar that we use currently). MBeanServer is an
interface. I saw one cool implementation at the show (by IBM) that used
EntityBeans as implementation. Really awesome. We might have do an
implementation ourselves, but that shouldn't be too hard. As for
adapters (or "adaptors" which I think is the right name) JMDK comes with
a HTML adaptor (included in jmxri.jar currently) but that is commercial
code. We still have to do our own adaptors. The RMI adaptor that I wrote
should be a good start.
