yes, although that is one of the sticky points.  If we lease to every client
that the clustering makes sense in embedded stacks with the RMI comm for the
heartbeat remaining in a fast LAN.  If we go with every client (there are
some ideas) then it won't scale to the "internet"... we have to be careful
*where* we want to use the lease features of JINI, power is good.
