|Agree completely. When we do clustered stateful this will be even more
|important since activation will happen on all calls. Ah well, since we
|already have this going with EntityBeans it should be pretty
|straightforward.

yes, I believe your entity layout could apply to the stateful stuff and I
had missed the clustered point, so it is a "two birds one stone" kinda thing
I think :)

|I see. Slowly but surely then.

Slowly ? what are you talking about, cache commited on Tuesday night by
friday morning we are killing linux kernel...

And the place we are now is exactly where we want to be: Linux dies on us
before jboss does :))))))

(He he... jboss is so stable the linux kernel dies on native threads before
we do ;))))))))))))) how is that, good enough ? :))))))

|ps. Just a thought: I really pity the poor souls at commercial
|companies who
|have to do this stuff without such an extensive peer review process. I'm
|amazed that even one commercial J2EE server really works...

yes I was thinking exactly that this morning... I mean we see so much stuff
in there that I can't believe that debugging really is thourough in many
cases... it would explain many things. If you ask me the bottom line is
that infrastructure software is too complex to really be stable in
commercial settings, I mean Open Source is the right place for
infrastructure stuff.
