Tom's option sounded better than mine - so that is what I have done - but
not committed - ie taken the DOMWriter class from the Xerces distribution
and integrated a class in org.jboss.util - being called by the XmlHelper.

If your happy, I'll commit this.  

Its still not the full sun-xml independance I was after - but I'll carry on
slowly making things more generic to allow this.  The other things
outstanding are - jbossmq, xmlbeans and the build/run scripts.
