Right now we are taking the xml parser from the xalan dist and this seems to lag the current xerces stable release. The xalan-j_2_5_1 release currently has the xerces-2_4_0 release. The xerces-2_5_0 is a much faster parser and really speeds up large deployments with many xml descriptors. Using the newer xml parser with xalan does not show any problems. Anyone aware of scenarios where this fails?
