Hi - I'm new to the list, and I was reading through the archove and siomething caught my eye regarding Jini Txns - it was said that Jboss might not have a need Jini Txns Well...(my two pence).....given that Jini allows 2PC from both extremes of distributed synchronisation up to ACID txns - wouldn't support for this be a good thing anyway? For instance we're having to write a complete transaction platform to support distributed proper transactions, and we're using Jini to do it. The systems this will cross are: Oracle IBM Cics mainframe Workflow EDM Printing Messaging and Email I suppose what I'm trying to say is would it be possible to implement client Jini transaction system capabilities into jBoss connection pools. Allowing this hook into 2PC external to the server, could possibly boost linkages for Legacy systems, above expensive 'Connector' implementations that will be shipped with commercial systems.
