Ack!  I spit on you and challenge you to a duel!!  There are only 80
columns!!!  Anything past column 80 cannot be read!!!!

Seriously, where does 128 come from?  80 is something of a legacy that
is not so relevent any more but it's a reasonable LCD, IMHO.
