I don't think so. We don't have specifications that define the application
server
dtds independent of a release, so why not use the stable release number that
introduced the changes rather than introducing an arbitrary versioning
notion.

The only other construct that might make more sense is to have the version
track the corresponding J2EE dtd version with a patch level added, so:
jboss_2_0_1.dtd
jboss-web_2_2_0.dtd
