This was testing with sun jdk1.3.1...
I really need to sort out the 256 thread limit problem - do I really
need to rebuild the kernel?
sun jdk1.4 failed to build.
I am now testing with blackdown 1.3.0/1.3.1 - if I use the green
threads option, I should at least avoid these problems...
