The linux box that is running the tests is configured for a max of
256 processes per user - hence limiting any native thread jdk to 256
threads...  I should install a new kernel.... but the box is used for
other stuff and I am nervous to do that...

Although, as root, I can do a "ulimit -u 4096" and it does not
complain...  which seems to imply the kernel I have is setup for a
higher limit - its just not the user default... also just not sure
how to make that available for all users - tried setting it in
boot.local (its a SuSe build) - but that seemed to be ignored -
without first logging them in as root and then su-ing to their
user...
